    I am very pleased to be able to write to youin connection with a significant event. It is thelaunching of the first issue of “TWMS Journal ofPure and Applied Mathematics”. The decision onestablishment of this journal was adopted at theThird Congress of the Mathematical Society of Tur-kic countries. The modern world is experiencing anera of globalization almost in all aspects of mankindslife and activities.
