    • Abstract.

    We give an answer to the open question about the additional condition that the orthogonal element set is ⊥-transitive. Firstly, we formulate and prove the theorem of the best proximity point under different conditions in b-metric-like space. After that, we formulate and prove the best proximity theorem in rectangular b-metric-like space. Finally, we give an application to fixed point results.
